Charleston Influence

Last year I moved to Charleston, after ten years in New York City. It was quite the culture shock, but living South of Broad in the beautiful historical district provided new inspirations and stunning backdrops. This spring I will be rolling out lots of new styles, prints and hues inspired by the beautiful colors of Charleston.
It's hard not to smile when you walk around your neighborhood and the houses look like a rainbow! We wear a lot less black down here than we did in New York, and I'm working on rolling bags that reflect more of that energy as the temperatures warm up. Stay tuned for more new spring favorites this week!
Charleston has also inspired me to use more colorblocking in the upcoming spring collection. Here are some of the first examples of new fun combos.
I'm going to start shooting around my neighborhood more as new spring styles come in, so I'm going to make an effort to share these snaps with you here in the Notebook.
Oh, and another thing I love about Charleston is that there are also so many talented ladies in this town. I have to give a shout out to my photographer Mary Beth Thomas, and also local Charleston artist Jenn Griffith. We created this Bar Cart Art series together. Cheers!
